Palm Desert, CA..........For years and years my husband Steve and I would come and vacation here with my parents, up until they moved to the area about 6 and a half years ago. Then I would go see them very frequently and, of course, I stayed at their house. During the five years that they lived here, we all talked about how we missed staying at this resort. Well, since my dad passed away almost two years ago, my mom and I have come and stayed here a few times. But, I tell ya, I'd much rather have my dad still here. But whats really cool, and also a bit difficult, is that you can really feel my dad down here. He loved this whole area so, so much and loved living here. It's easy to imagine we are going to see him walking around the corner and waving at us! So....he's here with us. I know he's with us wherever we are, but I really feel it here.

We have strong family memories here too. My inlaws spent every winter here after first staying with us in LA enjoying the baby grandchildren....and then we would visit them here as the kids grew. So our albums are full of here and of course the grandparents are gone....but ...you're right, still ...here! Love your photo, your love and your description, Laurie. L/F++
